The Kensington Society is an amenity society for all of Kensington, created in 1953. We have close to 700 members and some 40 affiliated societies.

New Newcombe House okayed by both the council and Sadiq Kahn
Just three days before the local elections, Sadiq Kahn's office accepted the KRBC approval of the new scheme for the Newcombe House site by Notting Hill Gate. This should mean that work will begin this summer, with the aim to be finished by early 2027. This is what it will look like from the top of Uxbridge Street.

The Newcombe House plan now totally revised
At meetings in March, the new owner of the Newcombe House complex in Notting Hill Gate presented a totally revised plan, compared to the one shown in October. No more shopping mall on the ground floor, but a large GPO surgery over four floors and covered colonnades on two sides for rainy days.

The Kensington Society AGM 2024
The Kensington Society's 70th Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 26 June 2024 in Kensington Town Hall's Great Hall. The guest speaker will be Sir Stuart Lipton, a leading property developer who is passionate about better quality and more sustainable buildings.
